My Philosophy
I came to the real estate business from a very rewarding career as a professional trombonist/musician. It had become increasingly difficult to earn a living as a musician but I still had a passion for performing and perceived real estate as a profession that would allow the freedom of time to continue honking my own horn in two professions. As it turns out, the two professions are more similar than one might suspect. Both professions take great discipline, and pride in your performance. The satisfaction of a flawless performance in either profession can be worth much more than the monetary compensation. I’ve often said that musicians are often their own worst enemy. If someone can’t afford to pay a musician to perform, many times the musician will give away his or her talent. FOR FREE! You’ve heard of the starving artist/musician. Really, not so much starving for lack of money but for the need of recognition of their talent, their performance. When I work for my real estate clients, they always can be assured I will be honest, truthful, do my best for them and always look out for their best interest. When my clients write me letters or come back to me and thank me for everything that I’ve done and how I’ve helped them get where they want to go on time and without stress, it’s part of getting high on life. It’s my applause. Once the transaction is complete, I want to be able to turn to myself and reflect that all parties to the transaction were treated with integrity honesty and respect, and that I can take pride in my performance. Oh, I am in business to make money. My most important job is to create security and a stable future for my family. However, relationships are like a trombone… Really! You have to put a lot of work into the little end before any music comes out the big end.
