As a 20-year resident of the Washington area, Tim Hanan knows the local real estate market and has sold property throughout the area. Before entering the real estate profession, he was a captain in the Air Force, a trial lawyer, and an executive with one of America's largest corporations. Jean Hanan grew up in Alexandria, Virginia. She came full circle, having started her professional career in real estate following graduate school. After working as an executive in the energy industry and as a consultant for the World Bank, Jean returned to the real estate business.

For over 20 years, the Hanans have lived in Georgetown. To give back to the community, Tim has been involved in several organizations including the mayor's Georgetown Parking Task Force and the Forum of Civic Associations. Over the years, he has also served on the boards of the Washington Opera, Arena Stage, Ford's Theater, and Wolf Trap. He has been an active alumnus of Williams College and the University of Virginia Law School. Jean has served on the Board of the Friends of Montrose and Dumbarton Oaks Park and chaired the renovation of the Montrose Playground which is now used as the model for playground renovation by the National Park Service. She has also been a volunteer and served as chairman of various endeavors at Little Folks School, Beauvoir, and National Cathedral School.
