George is a member of the Vienna Tysons Regional Chamber of Commerce (VTRCC) and Rotary Club of Vienna, having been selected as the Rotarian of the Year in 2008. He served on the Virginia Association of Realtors (VAR) Board of Directors from 2002-2010.  He previously served on the Board of Directors of the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors (NVAR) (1997-2002) and on the VAR Public Policy Advocacy Group (PPAG) (2000-2001). Currently, he serves on the Town of Vienna Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA). He was a member of the Town of Vienna Planning Commission (2001-2009); and is a former Chairman in 2004. He formerly was a member of the Town of Vienna Transportation Safety Commission (1998-2000) and the Fairfax County Consumer Protection Commission (1999-2000; Vice Chair (2000).
